UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 1, 2025 / The automotive industry has changed significantly over the past few decades, with new technologies and a focus on sustainability driving innovation. Professionals like Albert Loarn Mille, MBA, have played a vital role in shaping the industry's future.

With more than 50 years in the field, Mr. Mille has become a well-known expert in supply-based management. Throughout his career, he has worked on fuel systems and supply chain optimization, improving vehicle efficiency and reducing emissions. He continues to lead with a focus on sustainability and operational success.
A Legacy in Automotive Engineering
Mr. Mille's expertise in automotive engineering has grown from more than half a century of hard work. As a senior engineer at Westport Fuel Systems Inc., he helps improve supplier performance and reduce costs in the automotive fuel systems sector.
Mr. Mille's work on developing dual fuel injectors significantly increased vehicle efficiency and lowered emissions. He also managed relationships with global suppliers. In this role, he ensured the timely delivery of high-quality components across Asia and Europe.
"In transportation, the movement to hydrogen with internal combustion engines instead of going to batteries is limited and there is a significant push for hydrogen moving forward," explains Mr. Mille. "I don't think the idea of just going with batteries is going to be 100%. The transportation industry is going through an evolution."
Innovations and Career Milestones
One of Mr. Mille's most significant achievements came while consulting for Ford Motor Co., where he helped stabilize the cost of fuel injectors at Ford's Rawsonville plant. By reducing production costs and reconfiguring operations, he saved the company more than $3 million annually. He recalls how it was achieved: "I was able to reduce the size of the workforce while replacing grinding operations with machining operations. This move helped maintain tight tolerances for injectors and stabilized the process."
Throughout his career, Mr. Mille held key roles at companies such as Visteon Corp., Faurecia and Automotive Components Holdings. His work focused on supplier quality assurance and performance optimization. Due to his efforts, companies improved efficiency and reduced costs on a global scale.
A Passion for Learning and Leadership
Mr. Mille attributes his success to his passion for learning and adapting to new technologies. "I credit a lot of my success to my rapid understanding of new techniques and different processes," he admits. His enthusiasm for science and technology keeps him at the forefront of industry changes. He constantly seeks forward-looking ways to improve the automotive sector.
In addition to his work, Mr. Mille is passionate about mentoring younger professionals: "I aim to mentor the next generation of engineers and leaders, helping them navigate the complexities of automotive engineering and supply management."
Looking Ahead: Automotive Sustainability and Civic Engagement
Mr. Mille plans to continue contributing to the automotive industry. He wants to focus on fuel systems and explore hydrogen technologies for heavy-duty trucks. He also hopes to continue mentoring younger engineers and sharing his knowledge with them.
Outside of his career, Mr. Mille enjoys metalworking and woodworking, largely in the professional woodworking shop he built in his basement. He's also active in civic organizations, including his service as a Scoutmaster, Cubmaster and Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Mille's dedication to community service shows his commitment to giving back and helping others.
