Cooler Master Launches ‘FreeForm Playground’ Global 3D Mod Design Challenge with Prusa

Community Challenge Invites Creators to Remix Modular Cases and Cooling Systems for a Chance to Win Premium Prizes

Cooler Master, a global leader in PC components and tech lifestyle solutions, today announced the launch of the FreeForm Playground, a global 3D mod design challenge hosted in partnership with Prusa. The activation invites makers, PC modders, designers, and newcomers to create 3D-printable accessories and modifications for three modular Cooler Master products: the MasterFrame 600, the QUBE 540, and the MasterLiquid Atmos II.

The challenge is open to anyone, regardless of experience level or hardware ownership. Participants can download official STL templates directly from the Cooler Master profile on Printables and design functional upgrades, visual remixes, or creative experiments that extend what the products can do. Submissions are judged on creativity, usefulness, and execution.

“Our community thrives on creativity and problem solving,” said Wei Yang, General Manager of Cooler Master North America. “The FreeForm Playground gives designers and builders the foundation to express their ideas and share them with the world. It shows how far modular hardware can go when the community takes part in shaping it.”

The FreeForm Playground highlights Cooler Master’s FreeForm 2.0 approach, which encourages personalization, customization, and open source design. By making templates openly accessible and allowing creators to publish their mods publicly, the challenge builds a growing library of real accessories anyone can download, print, and use in their own setups. It also showcases how customizable hardware can evolve when the community is part of the design process.

Winners will receive prizes supported by both brands, including an Original Prusa MK4S kit paired with a custom Cooler Master PC build valued at approximately $3,000 USD for first place. Additional prizes include Prusameters, the MasterLiquid Atmos II, and the QUBE 540.
