IAH Wellness in Andorra develops a new treatment protocol for Lyme and co-infections

LACI®, pronunced “Lay-see”, is the new synergistic treatment protocol developed by IAH Wellness for Lyme and co-infections. It is a personalized protocol in four phases which sets the cornerstones of the treatment: IPT, IV Immunotherapy, 4th Generation Human Probiotics and Herbal Treatment. By using this four phase synergistic approach, we manage to target and treat the necessary pathogens in parallell and by doing so achieve a higher success rate, says CEO and Co-Founder Martin Nielsen.

Through combining innovative pharmacological treatments and technologies alongside immune- boosting therapies and naturopathic medicine, we strive to provide Lyme treatment options which are not easily accessible in many other parts of the world, contiues to explain Martin Nielsen.

The pharmacological part of the LACI® protocol is centered around utilizing IPT (Insulin Potentiation Therapy) to enhance the efficiency of the delivery of specific IV antibiotics used to target the Lyme and coinfections. This process is also supported by synergistic therapies, to combat the detrimental effects of the infection and to provide a lasting solution. In allignment with the LACI® protocol, we use a wide range of oral supplements and stationary treatments. The LACI® protocol is divided into a pre-treatment phase at home before going to the clinic, the on-site clinical treatment and a post-treatment phase again at home. The pre-treatment phase permits us to prepare the patient by gently moderating inflammation, gut toxity and decrease the immunesystem overload making the body more responsive to the on-site clinical treatment. The post-treatment is a guided oral supplement phase where we combine antimicrobial herbs with our pro-biotic protocol and supplements. During this phase, we are constantly monitoring the patients and evaluating the process until the goal is achieved and the patient feel that he or she is recovering their previous life and habits.

Lyme Disease is known as the “great imitator” as Lyme disease symptoms have a widespread list of symptoms that mimic many other diseases causing it to be misdiagnosed for fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, and various psychiatric illnesses such as depression. Lyme disease can be difficult to diagnose. Sadly, recent data shows more than 85% of Lyme disease patients were not diagnosed until after four months of illness, and over 70% saw four or more doctors before receiving a correct diagnosis.

The CDC estimates cases in the United States now at more than 600,000 people infected annually while acknowledging that Lyme disease can be difficult to diagnose. For this reason, nearly all of the Lyme Disease patients at IAH Wellness have been infected for several years. Because these patients went undiagnosed for so long, they have become "Chronic Lyme Disease" patients, and a majority are suffering from brain infections and therefore have Neurological Lyme Symptoms. The LACI® protocol is now giving hope back to this cluster of sufferers adding a light in this otherwise so dark tunnel.
